Wood

Wood

Our buildings are almost entirely composed of real, dense wood. Not only of a decorative nature, the wood is at the heart of the architecture itself, and allows for a solid, time-enduring structure.

Excellence of Construction

Excellence of Construction

Our property developments are created to perfection, thanks to the combined skills of our partners and the clearly defined vision of CDII. We carefully choose the finest materials-- from solid planks of wood to local stone. These construction elements are not just decorative, but form the essential foundation of the building. We create buildings that are in harmony with the surrounding environment.

Energy Consumption

Energy Consumption

No drying time Energy-saving : up to 30% saving in terms of heating compared to a traditional building Heat insulation is 12 times more effective than concrete Being essentially an excellent heat insulator, it is notably 12 times more effective than concrete in this area. This is why a wooden house offers greater protection from cold and heat than a brick built house. In addition, wooden building techniques eliminate cold bridges which account for around 30% of heat loss in a house.

Environmental Impact

Environmental Impact

In he fight against global warming, wood structures are a good thing! When growing, a tree traps atmospheric carbonic gas (CO 2), a greenhouse gas, while 1m3 of wood absorbs 1 ton of it! This stock of CO 2 is retained during the building process. Therefore, an average-sized wooden house utilises around 20 m3 and thus stores 20 tons of CO 2.

Sustainable Housing

Sustainable Housing

CDII actively participates in building a sustainable eco-friendly economy. We have previously participated in the Sustainable Housing Contest.

As resistant as steel, as durable as stone (ie. Egyptian tombs) The absence of loadbearing walls allows impressive amounts of space to be created Fire protection, as wood is an excellent ally against flames since it burns slowly. Fire brigadesare allowed to remain longer inside a wooden house than in a brick built house. There is no additional insurance premium. Anti-seismic properties
